We’re looking for your input on the top places to see the fall colors in the Upper Peninsula!
Initially, we were hoping to do a poll to find out your favorite place, but there are simply too many places in the Upper Peninsula. There are many classic places like Lake of the Clouds, Bond Falls, Brockway Mountain, and Tahquamenon Falls. Everyone knows of these locations (or at least they should).
We’re looking to build a list of other places with your input. Feel free to create a discussion in the comments section to give advice of finding your favorite fall color drive, waterfall, hike, hill, lake, or anything else.

The Dead River Falls area in Marquette is gorgeous for fall color viewing. My fiance and I take a cooler out every fall and have a picnic on the rocks beside the waterfalls. Of course, you need to have a 4 wheel drive SUV to get there!
Just about anywhere in Baraga County. Maybe I should say just about anywhere in the UP. We are really blessed to be living up here.
The western end of the U.P. heading north toward Lake Superior from Ironwood or Bessemer. The colors start earler in town and start later by the lake so the season is extended…
Copper Harbor is highly over-rated. Sure it is the northernmost point in MI…if you care about that. Eagle Harbor and Eagle River are SO much nicer.
In the Marquette area( I know it is busy in town) Presque Isle Park is real pretty. Or hike uo Sugarloaf Mountain-gorgeous views
Scenic 41 from Delaware to Copper Harbor is spectacular. . .just left there last weekend.
Any place in the Entire UP is the best! I love living here!
Garden Peninsula
Copper Harbor, Porkies, most all of the west end of the UP is beautiful in the autumn. But the place that keeps me coming back every fall is Baraga Co. From the Sturgeon River Gorge, to NE of L’Anse, hills and valley’s abound with color!
